Same car, same text in ad, from 2014. It was "recently rebuilt" 3 years ago.

I wonder how that car would compare to a well-prepped vintage-spec 2002.
Interested in vintage cars? Ever thought about racing one?

with all due respect its not much money for a race car let alone an IMSA car.

Thats pretty cool. "100% locked" diff bet thats fun around the corners.
That Nick Craw #64 car is being offered by Bill Kemper in St. Louis, an under the radar e21 enthusiast and all around nice guy. He owns more than a couple of fine e21 race cars and at least one 2002 racer. Here's the Group 2 car that I think he still has:
And then there's Nick Craw, who's a legend in BMW racing lore. Beyond his accomplishments on the track, he has an MBA from Harvard, was the director of Project HOPE, head of the Peace Corps, and served as President of SCCA for 17 years. Nice resume.
Here's a back-in-the-day photo of the car Bill is selling, Nick on the right with the Miller & Norburn crew:
I made the trip (pilgrimage) to Laguna Seca / Monterey Reunion last year for the first time and I think saw one of the car-for-sale siblings, IMSA RS #24 320

It was a nice older gentleman that had brought the car and was racing it. I chatted with him for a bit and he mentioned similar to what the ad says, that it was one of the first E21 brought in as a body in white for racing.
There were also a handful of 2002's that ran that weekend, and they post up the results with the fastest lap.
http://www.mazdaraceway.com/race-res...n-race-results
The fastest lap for the #24 320i was 1:58.433 on Saturday
And the fastest 2002's were 1:47.012 and 1:48.383 on Sunday.
Of course not a perfect test since the drivers were not the same and who knows what upgrades they had done to the engine.
