    07 525xi pads and rotors...

I'm looking to change my brakes soon. I can't stand the brake dust that comes off these pads. They where on the car when I purchased it in November 2016. There still good lots of meat still on them.. I'm curious to know if putting drilled rotors is a way to go or not. No I don't race it or beat on the baby.. There are times I like to throw it in sport and get on it but who doesn't lol. Would love to hear some input..

I own an '07 530xi and I replaced my OEM pads with Akebono ceramic pads with Zimmerman (non-drilled) rotors and have never regretted the decision. That was about 20,000 miles ago and I feel I stop as well as with the OEM pads and never have to clean my wheels between washings.

I got them from https://www.fcpeuro.com/ (right here in our Connecticut back yard) at a great price.

Stock and most non ceramic aftermarket pads will dust a lot. Try ceramic pads for lower dust. They stop fine for all but perhaps track purposes. Most people would never notice any difference. I have run them before and found them to be fine.

Great, thanks for the advice. I think I'm gonna go with that package AKEBONO and Zimmerman. They aren't that bad of a price and like you said right here in CT.
