Loud fan AFTER clutch fan replacement

As the title says, fan is still loud after a new fan clutch even with a cold engine.

2000 323i automatic

I have searched and searched with no resolution to this issue.

How about a work around? Convert it to a electric fan like a manual transmission car.

Well, the fan clutch engagement is purely chemical/mechanical. With this in mind, my initial thought is the replacement you bought is also bad or of poor quality.

Something seems not right here. Either you got a bad replacement, or it was somehow installed incorrectly...or your info "Loud fan AFTER clutch fan replacement" can also be misinterpreted here too...QUESTION: Is what you mean 'loud fan' a fan that is moving a lot of air? (that you are not used to hearing) Or, a fan that is not balanced on it's axis? (vibration)
