    Conti ExtremeContact Sport

Getting new tires tomorrow. Tire shop talked me into the Continental ExtremeContact Sports since I only drive my 740il in the summer time. I was going to go with the DWS06's but thought I'd give these a shot. I know they just came out with them this year.

Anyone else using these tires? Feedback appreciated.

I am actually going the other way around from all summer tires to possibly the all season tires. I am on sumitomo htr ZIII for my supra and now the 7 series. thing is I know these tires seem to develop flat spots with the 7 series being so heavy i think. I had the 55mph shimmy that I thought was my leaking newish control arms. replacement of the suspension parts moved the shimmy to 60-70mph. I will probably get the htr ZIII tires checked out and swap them out to an all season tires if defective.

I've had Conti winter tyres, no complains. They were on the Town Car, made the beast a lot of fun to drive during the off season.

A set of winter wheels and summer wheels (or tyres) is the way to go. All season tyres are jacks of all trades but masters of none, especially for areas where lake effect snow can hit and summers can make the Sahara look like a cool place.

I think you'll be happy with Conti and you should feel the increased performance of the season-specific compound.

I've been running Continental ExtremeContact Sports for about six months now. The first non Michelin tire that I used on this car since owning it, as I have had the Pilot Sport and Pilot Sport All Season. My only complaint.....compared to the Pilot Sports the sidewalls are quite plain. The Michelin is simply a better looking tire, but in terms of performance the Conti works fine for my purpose.

I've been running Yokohama's in the summer with General arcticmax for my snow tires. But I just picked up some Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ they are a very stiff ride. But I did them the same time as my Bilstein Sport struts and H&R stage 1 springs. I also went larger sizes. Stock rear size for the fronts, and 280/40-18 rears

I do like the look of the 275/40/18's

And man are these tires sticky.
