    M Pars on E36

Well, I didn't do my homework first and ended up with a decent set of M Pars for cheap. Pretty sure they are the e39 specs.

I already have the hub rings to step up the hub to the correct size, but my issue lies in the tire fitment. It's a square set of 18x8s. Currently there's 225/45/18s on the front and 245/40/18s on the rear. The tires are almost shot and need to be replaced anyway, but I need to find the correct sizing to clear the fenders.

The 225s fit fine in the front, but the 245s sit on the rear fender. I'm thinking 225/40/18 all around would be small enough to clear, but I wanted opinions before I drop the cash on tires.

TL;DR Putting M Pars on the car. Should I run 225/40/18 ( preferred) or 215/40/18 with a little bit of stretch to clear everything?

I have 205/45 on 7'5 wide and for my it looks perfect plus the car handles pretty straight but to lower the suspension is a MUST otherwise there's a huge empty space between the tyre and the chasis and it looks ugly. What I hate about it is that the rim hits really strong on speed bumps. I am going to put 225/45 on the next months and I think that this is the perfect size for street use. Maybe 215 in the front and 225 on the rear but as I am also thinking on changing the rims I will wait to know the ET of the new ones before messing up buying expensive tyres.

Btw, there are lots of pictures and info about this around the google world. Give it a try.

    Cheers!

Yes...I found that out the hard way. Hence why I said I didn't do my homework before buying them. However I'm stuck with them at the moment so might as well make it work.

Haven't been able to find many useful threads yet, most people just tell them to sell as it's not worth the hassle. But thanks for the input.

Overall...go for 225/40 but be prepared to roll your fenders.
