I have a TC Kline carbon fiber hood for sale. It is in really good condition, with only a couple of small cracks in the paint near the front kidney grilles. I bought this hood a couple of years ago to put on my M coupe but never got around to it and have too many other projects at the moment. I was told that this originally sold for $2300 and saved 55 pounds over the stock hood. I would like a local transaction, as shipping this thing would be a huge PITA. However, if no one local is interested, I might be open to shipping it. Looking to get $1000.

If you were on the other coast...

I would be too, even though it's the wrong color for me.

It's a shame that this isn't one of the vented ones. It gets mighty hot under our hoods, so that would be another added benefit to this if it had the vents.

Are these the CF hoods with the side vents built in?
Do you have any pictures installed or by previous owner showing fitment?

This hood does not have side vents. I have never tried to install this, and I dont have pictures of it installed, but the previous owner of the hood said this:
TC Kline Z3 carbon fiber hood
Mounts for stock latches
Painted estoril blue
~10 lbs (stock ~65 lbs)
Condition:
This part is meant for track/racing use, so fitment is not great. You may have some panel gaps and adjustment might be needed to get the side gills to fit nicely. The hood clearance for windshield wipers is also not great, but you might be able to make some adjustments. On my car, the hood clearance around the driver side A-pillar wasn't quite enough, so opening and closing the hood would lightly scrape the A-pillar. It does not have cutouts for windshield washer nozzles. It has a few rock chips. It was originally meant for use with hood pins, but I had TC Kline modify it so I could use the stock latches as well. Unfortunately there is some stress on the mounts for the stock latches, which resulted in a fine hairline crack in the paint near the mounts. The integrity of the carbon itself seems fine. I would recommend going back to hood pins and repainting it.

I'm interested, and more-or-less local to you. Does it mount to the stock lifts and hinges, or would you have to completely remove it to open it?

The hood has provisions for stock hinge and latch mounting. I can send pictures of these mounts if you would like.

Some pics of the hinge and latch mounts would be great! Thanks.
