    2011 bmw 328i sedan

    oil filter housing leaking

    I just finished replacing my valve cover gasket on my 2011 328i. When I started the car, I discovered oil was leaking from the OFH cap. This is my first BMW and wanted to know if I just need to replace the cap packing or if there is a bigger issue.

    The leak is at the base of the alloy housing? Or from the meeting of the plastic oil filter cover and the alloy housing?

    Just from around the cap? Take the cap off, replace the o-ring.
