Currently 522 cars registered and 23 E21s.
I'm arriving Thursday evening. Who else is going?
Steve
I'll be there as part of the "crew". Sully32 will be there too.

Most likely dividing the drive down from Rochester NY into two days leaving Wed and arriving Thurs.
Current plan is to head over to Cleveland and take a left onto 77S and head down that way with a short drive on 81S into northeast TN and then into NC.
Any recommendations from anyone local as to an interesting way to come into Asheville from the north or the west? Already did tail of the dragon a few years back, looking for lesser known roads that are just as fun for finishing my drive down.
I'll also be heading down to the BMW CCA Foundation event Friday if anyone else is planning on that.
Steve
Make that 24 E21s. Scott registered me gratis for winning a category in last year's photo contest but did not list a car. I'll be arriving Thursday afternoon and staying at the Clarion. If we all drive to the springs together we can park together. I'll be going to the Foundation on Friday. Haven't decided on a route yet but I'll mix it up with US highways and blue roads.
First year attending and I'm bringing my 89 ix up from Beaufort, SC.
Greer, SC/BMW Zentrum is on our way so we'll be seeing the Motorsport exhibit on Friday morning.
Camping at Hot Springs on the riverbank.
It's gonna be a great weekend!
I'm planning to bring the 323. Driving down from Ohio on Thursday.

Dad and I plan to be there Saturday for a bit. Car will stay in the garage though. Like I say someone post if meeting at Sierra Nevada Brewery, I'm not far away, and always down for beer.

Sierra Nevada sounds like a good idea. With the exception of going to the event, I have to firm plans as to where to be when.
Next year my car will be 40. I should make a trip. Maybe that will force me to get it complete....
I'll be there Friday evening "somewhere".

I'll be there Friday Evening. "somethere".
The Clarion's parking lot might be a good place to start being "somewhere."
For those who like hard cider, Bold Rock has a cidery 6.2 miles from the Clarion.
I'm registered. I'm leaving South FL early Thursday afternoon, overnight in Savannah, GA, then on to the Motorsport Heroes event at BMWCCA in SC.. then another hour ride up to NC.
I still need to book hotels!
Stancing is for drivers trapped in an abusive relationship of their own lives.
I'll be at the show on Saturday in Hot Springs, carless as usual. Probably won't make it to the hotel or other events.
In a complete lack of sensitivity to her father's needs, my daughter picked that weekend last year to get married in California.
However, I did have a great road trip out there and back, and the wedding was a lot of fun.
I'll try to make up for it by seeing all the great cars (and people!) at The Vintage this year.
So what's the e21 count up to now? Steve, have you been keeping a tally?

Since you asked so nicely, I went over to the event registration site and looked it up. Currently 546 cars registered, 25 E21s
My plan is still to over night somewhere in Ohio Wed night and finish the drive Thursday. That will allow me to find a fun way into Asheville Thursday afternoon. I'm up for Sierra Nevada Brewery or something like that Thursday or possibly Friday. I'm staying down the road from the main hotel, at the Fairfield. The main hotel filled up way to quick and I didn't get a room there. I'll be around for the tailgate party Friday evening.
Steve
Will be there parked in the vendor area. Alpine Weiss '83 iS.

Lot's of cars to see. I honestly didn't like they mixed everything except the M cars. Made it hard to scope out a lot of E21's. Saw Steve's ride surrounded by camera guys lol we talked about how catching the color was. She still looks as nice as ever man.
Great showing of BMW history.

I broke two hours away from home, my car's in Roanoke, Va waiting to be diagnosed, but I still made it to the The Vintage. Scott Sturdy and his crew do an excellent job putting on such a big event. The solution to the E21 guys all parking together is for all the E21 guys to show up at the same time. That's what a lot of the E3 guys did.
This ^, very much this. I've discussed parking by model with Scott in the past but the logistical challenges with over 650 cars registered are just too difficult. I figure we'd need 20 more volunteers just for parking and we'd probably still back traffic up 1/2 mile.

Understood, and hats off to Scott for keeping with this all these years. Ya know we didn't have these issues in the beginning at Westbend, but nobody expected it to grow as it has either. It's neat to see it has reached logistical overload due to turn out
Man I'm telling ya I really really miss the full Spaten sponsorship and FREE brews all day served by proper Bavarian beer girls with ability to walk the entire venue half liter in hand.

Sully and I were directing traffic. I was wearing a straw cowboy hat. Had to leave about 15:00 so didn't get to socialize much.
