Exhaust tips for M60B40 740iL

My exhaust tips were damaged a long time ago reverse parking the car against a very low brick wall. The exhaust tips were pushed onto the metal pipe extensions exiting the rear muffler further than they were ever designed to go. This resulted in their sides bulging out and splitting. I pulled them back out to where they're supposed to sit and they've stayed there ever since, but obviously they're broken, just not badly enough to not still have sufficient grip to stay on the metal pipes. They are beyond repair.

They are light weight chromed plastic items with an angled slash cut exit profile. The original part number was 82129401296, but of course they're NLA. Can anyone please recommend a replacement or reproduction part that's as close to these original look ones as possible and perhaps made out of proper chromed metal instead of this weak as piss chromed plastic nonsense BMW used that only looks good but splits as soon as you touch it with anything?

for the M70 the p/n is 82119401152 Chrom 79X62 MM for E32 750 and E31 850, but no longer available.

Same with the M70 end pipes.

But google for chrome exhaust tips 65mm, there are plenty, for example on amazon u.k. Price: £13.50

For the M70 there is a one man specialized shop in Germany, ENGL, he has stainless steel (not steel chromed)

all handmade by him, he is mainly specialized on E31, but as we have the M70, there is a lot we can also use.

Yeah, I saw that ridiculous ad on eBay too and had a laugh. Surely just a speculative seller with all the time in the world to wait for some idiot with too much money to come along and make a killing. I hope he waits so long that someone starts producing replica reproductions and his genuine items instantly become almost worthless again.

Actually this one here looks very similar to the originals. There's a Supercheap not far from me. I'll have to stop in and have a look in the metal.
