I am planning to restore FOHA trunk lid spoiler to its original condition (black foam/no paint). The spoiler I have was painted and I want to remove the paint without damage to the foam/rubber material. Anyone can recommend particular paint stripper they used for this task with success (i.e no damage to the foam)? The layer of paint is pretty thin and I think I see the primer, so I would not risk sanding it down, it possible.
Thank you,
Max
I would try Citristrip. It's pretty mild chemically and does a pretty good job.

Thank you Terry!
Be super cautious with thinners, some will just eat right through foam like it's not even there.
Mineral spirits might be the least aggressive. I would test anything in the least noticeable spot with a qtip or something first before just going at it.
What about having it soda blasted?
Sounds good- I should have mineral spirits here so I will try it first.
I will test first underneath to see how it affects that foam.
Thanks
Max
