Master Window Control Module Problems w/ Wiring Connector - Identify Part Help

    Hello All,

I have had problem with my E60. My Master (driver side) Window Control Module on seems work intermittently. Most of the time I cannot operate my windows through the up/down switch on either side. Occasionally and randomly the green light on the master module has come on and I am able to operate the window.

The other day my son decided to play with the window switch one day and it just so happened to be the 1:100 odds that the module was working he fully lowered the window and the module has not worked again. So my lovely 545i has a window stuck down and I am on the east coast of Canada and the weather is still cold, snowy and rainy . I gotta get this window fully closed somehow.

I assumed this might be a bad master module or perhaps a programming issue. I decided to check what was going behind the door panel in case of a lose connection etc. I have no way to test it the module so I guess I'd have to replace it and hope it resolves my issues.

    This is what I found:

    The connector was broken.

It is a 4 point connector but I am not sure how to identify the connector. I think it is similar to part 1 in this diagram:

Can I actually replace this connector must I find a harness and slice? The connector seems to open up on one end so perhaps I can insert the existing 4 wires and it will snap back in place. I have no experience with this. If anyone has the expertise please advise.

I also was wondering a few things. If anyone can share their knowledge it would be awesome....
    1) If the master control module is not functioning, should the other window switches function independently?
    2) Is there any way to raise the window fully without power and without damaging the window and track system?
    3) I am looking for a wire color code / wire description for those pins on the master module so I could try and test the module or wire to confirm...
    4) Could INPA identidy such a problem and the cause?

I'm desperate, any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks,

I got the window up by playing with the passenger side module and wiring. The problem of intermittent window operation continues so I was just lucky. Since the connector to the Master Window Module Broke I get an error saying there is an error with the window (escape fail) which I never had before so I now know that the module was likely not the cause for this.

I still need to find the cause of the intermittent window operation and not I need to find a connector to replace the broken one as in the pic above.

Please if you can help me identify this part if would be amazing.

    Thanks,
