Driveline of Portland comes through again..I'm taking the plunge and doing the whole driveline for 517.44 shipping both ways (with the core return) to my door. Then I'll tackle with a friend under my own lift with my own blood sweat and tears. Probably better go ahead and do the guibo while I'm under this money pit!

So yeah, a carrier with a problem can make some weird noises alright!

This issue is put to bed..

The U joints and Guibo were really in good shape, but we went ahead and stuck with the new line and fresh guibo anyway, after going through the effort of dropping the exhaust and everything. Things are REALLY smooth and quiet now. Thank Goodness I didn't driver her too much like this!

Is that a broken carrier bracket in the pictures? Busted weld or simply failed through metal fatigue?

Sorry for the delay..yes, it is! I'm not sure if it was at a weld or not. But broken clean through. I've heard numerous people come out of the woodwork and tell me that this part, very under-engineered, breaks on them often. Really crazy.

The car is so much better now, sheesh..
