Has anyone ever purchased a set of the Euro E38 factory 4-pot Brembo calipers and installed them on a US-spec E38?
I've heard that they use a different rotor size, and I've heard that they can be used on the US-spec size rotors. . . just looking for someone who can speak from experience on either scenario.
Thanks guys!
they use 316 mm rotors.
not good for v8 cars. only for 725tds, 728i, 730i, 730d and 735i
recomand v12 brakes insted.

Yes, but I've heard there's enough clearance in the brembo caliper to accomodate the extra 4mm of radius for the stock US-spec rotor size. I was just hoping to have someone verify, as I don't immediately believe everything I read on the internet. . . I like to double check.
This would be interesting. I was looking at the ECS Tuning "Factory big brake kit" (750) calipers and rotors. They aren't positive that they would fit with 16"wheels(my snow tires are on 16s)
But theoretically if the 4 pot calipers work with factory 740iL rotors. They should work with 16" rims.
Awesome, thank you! Djscorpio, can you link that thread?
