Back Story: Bought this E36 a few years ago off a friend with hopes of making it into a track car so I could live out my boyhood aspirations of becoming a race car driver. But, you've heard this sob story before: I ran out of time and money so now it's time to part this bitch out and instead I'll just spray champagne on my girlfriend and her cat every time I beat her home from work.

The Car: Why is there an OBD I converted S52 in a 1995 E36 M3? Great question. So this car was stolen earlier in its life and the drive train was removed before the car was recovered. I assume the old motor is somewhere in Mexico now. Afterwards, the car was rebuilt (I'm told the motor is from a 98/99 M3, rebuilt at 68k miles) and then my friend bought it. Fast forward to me: I purchased the car two years ago from him and it currently has just under 140k miles on it.

The Engine: I can tell you about the motor all day but instead I strapped a GoPro to my forehead and made this fancy video including a compression test (175 / 170 / 175 / 170 / 170 / 172 PSI respectively): https://youtu.be/-3WmvXJlRJs.

You'll notice it has the M50 mani as well as the plastic glamor cover but it does in fact have the S52 stamp on the block. Sorry I couldn't get a good photo of it at this time since the motor is still in the car but will upload when I pull it out.

Speaking of which, if you'd like to take this beast for a test drive then by all means come on by. However, I do plan to start parting out this vehicle shortly and the motor will not be in the car much longer.

Ok, time to cut the foreplay and let's talk price:
$2500 takes the motor and anything attached to it (wiring harness, DME, etc...). I am planning on keeping the transmission at this time to put into my E30. However, if this is something you really want then we can talk.

I'm happy to talk on the phone or send more photos/videos. I can deliver to LA, San Diego, Las Vegas, Bakersfield or the Fresno area if you compensate me for gas/miles.
