I'm flush to the hvac panel. No giant overhang but yes, factory wide screen sits out pretty far. I'm even with the old cassette deck which is countersunk. I feel like these units should not stick out over the HVAC,

Chief you didn't read the thread? It's been while since I followed it, but if I recall there were issues with: GPS tracking actual car location, radio sound cut out, but dang it looks sweet!

Its hard to read it when you have a new born and a 4 yr. one is crying and the other calling you every 2 mins to show me or tell me something,plus I tried reading the thread at work with no luck. So put me up to speed real quick and pardon me. Yes I agree with you it looks so damn good that's why I was asking MJ Doom about the bug issues.

Kahlilj pretty much hit it on the head, gps tracking, time not displaying correctly (even after firmware upgrade), the online function of it was real slow due to the fact you only could share your internet connection via bluetooth. But the look of the 10.25 screen in the dash is A1.

whats the max depth without modifying anything? about 5"?

8-9 in. That's not the problem there's a step in the heater box that is 3-4in. back from the trim bezel on the bottom. I used a 7in. in my car because you can change the angle of the screen which is how I got the radio to fit without modifying the box like alpine did. But it has to be to the drivers side period. I'll get some pics of mine when I can
