    Milestone: 300K

Hit 300,000 miles a few days ago and I realized a few things.

For a few years, I've been telling myself that I couldn't consider a new car until I hit 200k. Then I hit 200k and she was running so well that I started saying the same thing about hitting 300k. Well, I hit 300k the other day and she's running as well as the day I bought her at 85k. Having driven a dozen other cars in the last ten years, mostly rentals or whatever, this E46 fits the best, looks the best, and drives the best. With the suspension upgrades I did at 120k, she's still just the best little car I can imagine. Still out handles new cars and is the prettiest in the parking lot. It's time for a suspension refresh and some new rear axle carrier bushings, maybe a bumper respray. Still the prettiest girl in the lot.

    I think I'm going for 400k.

Thanks guys for all the help over the years and motivation to build and maintain a fantastic car.

Congrats that's awesome to hear! I'm looking forward to that milestone as well. I just bought my first E46 today.

    Cheers!

After buying my 03 325xi wagon in March, I revisited yesterday CraigsList to see what's now on the market in my area. Listed last Wednesday (Connecticut) was an 03 325xi wagon for $1800. and with 289k on the clock! I called and spoke to the woman, she said it runs and drives fine but has a small exhaust leak. I thought about buying it...it has new tires and she said she had spent lots of money in recent time but now wants to part with it. The paint is the rare light teal green, mine is the light blue like so many others.

Yup, that's the color! I do like it...wish mine was the same! Have you seen a wagon that color? I'm sure there are many, but I haven't seen one. Teal and turquoise color, are my favorite all-time colors!
