I'm putting my car back together after it's been to the body shop. This clip was in a bag of parts. I can't figure out where it goes. Any ideas?
Never seen that one before. Part number is invalid. Safe to say it's not very important.
Ive seen this piece before but i cannot place it. i do know that wiring passes through it with a rubber grommet. The bottom "edge" slots in somehow and the other end clicks into a hole.
Hatch wiring maybe? Seeing that you are likely talking about a touring and trying to think of what would be removed for body shop work.

I have been through some very obscure nooks and crannies of my E34 and I have no idea what that is.
I suspect it's from the hatch or the back of the car somewhere somewhere. This piece was in a bag of random parts tossed in the back. Judging by the part number it's got to be something related to wiring...
Did the body shop do any work on your doors?
Not much - they replaced all four doors, but I did the wiring/mechanical work on them myself. That thing isn't from the doors I'm almost positive.
IPG makes equipment for BMW's door welding on the production line. Just wondered if it could have been left behind in the car. Odd, though, that it bears a BMW logo, part number, and what appears to be the IPG logo.
go thru realoem in all items in subsection 61 13 maybe you find a drawing of that part
The part number shown is 6113 8354635.1
Shogun tricks and tips for the E32 series are HERE!
61 13 is 'various cable clamps' so that's definitely what it is. No drawing of it is shown, but it wouldn't matter anyway, they don't tell you where the 'various' items are to be installed.
I have a 525i Touring and I have one at the rear right side the wires for the rear lights go through it, but I could never place where it is fixed on the body. I was hoping someone could place where.
Thanks guys - with your help I figured it out. Here's a picture with the clip almost in its home. It protects the wiring and the washer fill hose from abrasion on the body. The rear washer reservoir is on the right.
