    Wiring for racing

I want to know how I can wire my car for racing and take out things I don't need. I have a 98 e36 m52. Thank for all the help.

Is this going to be a track only car?
What are you wanting to keep in the car?

I got it bundled with the cable when I bought it.

What electrical things will you have in the car, besides the starter, injectors, ECU, and coils?

Are you asking what you can hack out of the stock wiring, or are you going to make your own wiring system?

We're in the process of thinning ours out. Everything radio-related can be removed more or less as one piece - we took the easy route and cut the door speaker wires where they enter and exit the door transition but I'm sure you could get them out with enough effort.

Other than the radio stuff, there's no "Easy Button" here because all the systems get bundled into large runs of wires. You need to proceed carefully and deliberately, separating everything and tracing wires from their ends back to their connectors.

If you're keeping the original DME, you'll want to be deleting the EWS and almost everything else that is attached to it. For that you'll need to code the modules out.
If you're going with a standalone ECU then it'd probably be quicker making your own new loom.
