Put a "Ford" label on it and they immediately cost less than 1/3 the price. The Volvo-powered Focus also uses a Mitsu turbo with the same vacuum actuated waste gate. Granted the plug is different, but seeing as I just got both of these for less than the cost of one with a "BMW" logo on it, I'll gladly spend $10 for some new pigtails.
Nice find, as long as the operational specs are similar.
That's the least of my concern, they both use the same Bosch electronics. Trying to find the pigtail is what's proving difficult, but it appears to be the same as the water temp sensor, so I'm going to give that a shot.
Finally got around to trying these. Been busy with other things and haven't been driving this car much. The Focus water temp sensor pigtails were a match and I cut up some old BMW sensors I had laying around to plug into the harness. Unfortunately they didn't fix my problem but these definitely work. Mine may have been failing anyways because the throttle is much more responsive than it has been.
