I own a 2013 328i sportline with 43k miles. Brought it in for an oil change and they offered to extend my maintenance for the following:
Current Maintenance end in July '17 factory warranty is 100k in July '19.
Offered to extend maintenance.
$2,900 - 3 years, 125,000 miles
$2,000 - 2 years, 100,000 miles
$900 - 1 year, 75,000 miles
I drive about 15k miles a year. Is it worth the cost?
I think it's a worthy investment depending on how long you're going to keep the car for. If this is a long term investment, then the warranty would be really valuable for any fixes or issues in the future. Just my 2 cents...

I think if you find an independent mechanic that specializes in BMW repair (or just German car repair), that you could have all of the factory recommended maintenance done by them for considerably less than those numbers. You're essentially doing 2 oil changes per year at that rate, plus filters and fluid changes. I can't possibly get to $2900 over three years. If you really like convenience, then I guess it's worth it to have the loaner cars, etc. but an independent won't cost that much.
I assume you don't work on your own cars, because all the standard maintenance items are easily done at home for a fraction of that cost, but that's a different story as a lot of folks don't work on cars any more.
