2004 e66 - Upgrade to satellite radio

Has anyone looked into upgrading the radio to receive satellite radio? Worth the trouble/expense?

Options I have considered are a satellite radio vehicle kit or find a way to plug my smart phone into the existing radio and use the satellite radio app. I have unlimited data

If your car has an aux jack, you can probably just use your phone's app and run the sat. radio that way. If you do not have an aux jack, you can likely find one on ebay for not much $$.
