Looking at a 2004 330 vert. It doesn't have the NAV screen. How much do those units go for? Are they just plug and play?

Nav cars have the radio in the trunk near the amplifier. The wiring is completely different. Not worth the huge amount of rewiring that would be required for an outdated nav system. Buy a dynavin. It's plug and play and way more modern than the 20 year old technology of the oem nav.

I HATE the nav in my 740i. Always glitching out and killing the battery. Im gutting mine out. I agree with others, dynavin or just use your phone.

I recently installed a Garmin...03, xi, I put it dead center on the dash at the lowest point sucked to the windshield. The power wire was easy to hide all the way to the cigarette lighter.
I have a car with factory NAV. I was wanting to upgrade it to the dynavan head unit. Ok so here is my question. When Installing this how does one get the anteanna lead up to the headunit. On the nav cars the anteanna plugs into the head unit in the trunk. What else has to be changed to install this on a factory NAV car.

Factory Nav is not difficult to retrofit. You need the bordmonitor, the mk4 DVD Nav drive/computer, the bm53 or bm54 radio module, the Retrofit harness, amd a gps antenna.
I have Nav/TV and there is no way on gods green earth I'd ever settle for dynavin or similar.
If I were to give my Touring a first name, I'd probably name it "Alan".
