Hey guys, I'm finally done with my engine swap and am starting on my audio upgrade.
Finally starting to get parts in so I figure I'd start a thread.

As you can see it fit the screen too snug and started bowing



So I sanded it and this is what it is now





I'll be picking up all my zapco equipment this Saturday, which consists of 2-z150.2, z400.2, z2kd and DSP-z8

I ordered 2 Fi IB3s 15" that I'll be using.

Haven't ordered any HAT stuff yet, I want to get the trunk design down and built before starting on doors.
I'll be running L8v2s, L3v2s and L1v2s for my front stage.

Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

nice. i've got an 18 fi ib3. magnet looks different...mine's a couple years old tho.

and as for layout - do what you think looks best. really doesn't matter. personal opinion.

Yah, they redesigned the ib3 a couple years ago if I remember right. How have you liked the 18 over the years?

I like layout #1, that was the first layout that popped in my head when I got the amps. I think it'll look the cleanest in a false floor.

They're V4 they released at CES actually looks promising.

AE also has high quality IB subs.

Only other thought for a trunk install would be amps vertically round the side walls. probably a truckload easier to make a false floor than false walls. otherwise #1 looks good.

That sounds cool. I'll have to measure the 400.2 and 2kd to see if they'll fit vertically inside the trunk.

Both left and right amps have the Z starting at the rear of the car.

Yeh it just bugs me. I want to grab the right amp out of the picture and flip it around so it's facing the others.

As far as vertical amps... The 2kd and 400.2 are about 2-2.5" too tall for the trunk lid to close.

Turn both 180 so the flat part of the zapco logo faces away from the 150.2s?

lol - yes...point the zapco logos in towards the inner amps and all will be right in the world.

it's basic feng shui.
