I love the 330ci, but it's getting a little long in the tooth and I'm ready to drive something newer. I bought this car in '11 with 90,000 miles on it, and have had a great time with it. I'd like to replace it with another coupe, something that will have a similar feel on the road. I think I'd prefer to get something without turbo. I've looked at an '11 335i and and a '14 435i (both turbos of course), but they feel sedate and over-polished. I haven't looked at an '11 or earlier M3, but I'm not sure I want (or need) 8 cylinders, and wouldn't mind a little better gas mileage. But maybe that's where I'm supposed to go?
Thoughts?
128i? About the same size as an E46 although visually looks smaller... naturally aspirated I6 - cheap to run and very reliable. Other than that, for N/A midsize options you have the E92 330i and 328i or M3.
Though tbh, were I shopping for a newer BMW I'd gravitate towards the I6 turbos. A 135i or 3/435i is a very capable car.
