Hopefully someone can help me out here,
The car is a 96 328i with ABS/ASC I got done installing a powered by max in line hydro unit. I ran the lines to the ABS unit like it said in another thread somewhere. The problem is that it is "working" but it won't actually lock the rear wheels. I blead the unit many many times so I don't think there is any air in the master.
Any help would be great
What size master? what size handle? what brake pads?

It's a wilwood 3/4 bore master with a 16" handle and oem Bosch pads.
You want the 5/8" and I think you want some better pads. Most hydro setups don't lock up the wheels in a straight line unless you're really on it.
Status: Someone put glitter in my oil. Wait. Why's all my oil outside the engine? What's that knocking?
I bled my hydro every chance I got. I have an asd inline with 5/8 master. It doesn't wanna lock up unless I have some heat in the pads. My brother had the same issue with his mustang. He put in cheap autozone pads and it locks up much better. Next time you try it, hold the hydro down as you're moving for about 5 seconds. It won't actually lock the wheels but it'll put heat in the pads. Then try to lock the wheels up.
Man, you guys got some shitty hydros then, my home built $10 unit locks anything in a straight line, with 318 or m3 calipers.. 5/8 master, in line system. Try changing your leverage point, it should help as long as it's bled proper.
When I had my inline PBM brake in my old car it would never lock in a straight line, Always felt mushy no matter how much I bled it. It was most of the reason why I have a Dual Caliper setup on my current E36
Make sure you bleed the system with a power bleeder. Bleeding by hand sometimes wont clear out the hydro.
My inline locks up my rears just fine in a straight line. .625 master and stock pads. I've always been under the impression that performance pads are a no no with a hydro as they require far more heat to work.
also, +1 on a powerbleeder.
