    540i hairpin throttle response

Hey all, I've got an 03 540i M sport with a stick. While I love the car, I find it hard to drive smoothly in the lower gears, the throttle response is hyperactive, the slightest touch of the throttle lurches the car in the lower gears. It otherwise drives well and pulls evenly.

I have driven few other stick 540's, are they all like this? I've driven slush box versions and don't recall such sensitive throttle response.

I'm starting to suspect it was flashed, or someone added an aftermarket gizmo somewhere to monkey with the pedal signal. Not even sure where to look for such a thing, above the pedal somewhere?

I don't find that mine is like you describe.
Mine has the Dinan stage 5 downloads and associated hardware.

    are slow
Well, the M60 manifold might make it a little less hyper down low. But that's not curing the sensitivity.

With my TU mani, it goes ballistic instantly, which may be annoying downtown. With my M60 one that I have lying around, you've got a little overhead before muh torks come in.
