Bmw 120d

Hi i looked at a bmw 1 series 2008 2.0diesel last night and everything seemed fine. Only thing i saw online today is about the problem they had with the timing chain can anybody tell me if it was a certain engine model which had this problem as its worrying me about buying it.

I have a 135i and have never read about this issue, perhaps it's on the 128i model. Make sure to get a full PPI report, that'll tell you exactly what shape the car is in.
