BMW X3 Differential /trainsmission drain plug seals

Anyone familiar with the fill and drain plugs on a 2005 X3 manual transmission and differentials. I just got home and the supplier forgot to put drain plugs in the box.
Are the seals a metal type like on older Bmw's ? or is it an actual o-ring ? any help/info is appreciated. I am hoping I can reuse the metal type seals. Thanks Judd

You will re-use the metal plugs in the front and rear differentials. They are fine thread plugs that have no seal/o-ring. As recommended, make sure you can access and remove the filler plug before you drain. My X3 has an automatic so I can't speak for the transmission, but based on my experience with other BMW manual transmissions, yours will have metal plugs similar to the differentials and will be re-used.
