Last summer I picked up my first e30 m3 from forum member Dcvee with 129k miles.
Some pics of when I got it home finally
Stock wheels
Something went missing
On the road to body restoration with a darn car/boat.
Let the fun begin
I'll have more pics up shortly of the restoration process. I'm having MC whips over in Sterling Heights, MI do the restoration of the body(they did an amazing job on a friends car) They have done a few e30's in the past, and all looked great after the work was completed. The seats are also being redone with new cardinal red leather by BMW restored seats.
Dvcee will be rebuilding the s14.
Motor ran great, but leak down numbers were not great.
Time for the head to come off
Look like rings had enough of running rich for too long.
Rod Bearings looked pretty good.

Congrats he is a really good dude and I hope you are happy with the car. Keep plugging away
He sure is.
Car looks to have been painted in the past red at some point with out it being painted under the hood. This car had some of the usual rust back by the tail lights, and the trunk floor where it meets the tail panel. I was lucky enough to source factory replacement parts(some the last parts in the country/Germany). Luckly the cowl didn't have crazy rust issues. BMW will not sell the cowl section to US owners. I guess they don't like us much.
Well here is some progress.
The inner drivers side had some rust from a previous repair, and the front cross member as well.

My guess, life got in the way, focus changed or the project became too overwhelming.
OP is still active on the forum, who knows why this stalled.

Body isn’t complete yet, but should be in the next month or so.
Motor is about half way there.
