For Sale: Alpina B12 5.0 Coupé in Germany (No 82)

    Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the correct way, but I don't want to post an ad on this panjo-site but a simple ad for fellow 8-series enthusiasts (I'm not sure, how the other FS-threads in the FS-subforum got created).

Some of you might know me from the German 8-series boards (as “shneapfla”) – I’m putting my 1992 B12 5.0 Coupé up for sale here.

I have owned her for almost 14 years and realized that I can’t find the time she deserves due to our son and projects at home – the last 2 years I filled her up once and changed the oil once every year.

This is no. 82 from 97 ever built.

I’m asking 105.000 USD as I think this represents the rarity and condition of the car correctly (I spent almost 14000 USD this year for maintenance and small bits - this includes the silencers, see below)!

I can help with shipping and such but can’t obviously with customs and taxes.

As this car was produced 25 years ago in May (proven by official certificate from the manufacturer), it should be no problem to federalize it as far as I understood the whole shebang. As far as I got it, this should be a straightforward procedure in most states (CA’s an exception?), but you may want to talk to somebody who’s done that before – nothing this board can’t provide.
Additionally, my sister lives in NC so there’s no need to transfer money internationally if that’s a concern.

Alpina Buchloe delivered her to the (now and then) Alpina dealer Maas in Schwabach in May 1992 (copy of the invoice of 218560 DM = ~135000 USD is included, as well as a delivery confirmation from Alpina Buchloe).

I bought her in 2003 with approx. 131.000 kms (~81.000 mls) on the odometer, the current reading is 164.700 km (102.000 mls). In the first year I registered her standard, but switched to seasonal plates in 2004 (she was always a fun car, never been used as a daily driver) and was able to register her as automobile-historic cultural asset with the registration office due to the low production number.

The automatic gearbox was replaced just before I bought her by Alpina Maas (copy of internal invoice included) at 130800 kms, so the gearbox only has 35000 kms (22.000 mls) on it.

    Maintenance/repair:
    2003 Oil change and inspection
    2004 Oil change
2005 Valve cover seal was replaced, chain tensioner was fixed, fuel lines were replaced and oil was changed by KFZ Schaffer in Moosburg, a renowned specialist for E31 and Z1 – invoice about work (1460€) is included
2006 to 2016 Oil changes/inspections done by myself (right before winter every time – I never rode her in winter, except for the (dry and sunny) day when I brought my wife and our newborn home from the hospital!
2017 Upper oil pan gasket was replaced, waterpump, both ribbed v-belts including belt tensioner and pulley were replaced, coolant expansion tank, brake hoses front and back were replaced, wheels overhauled, etc. (also done by KFZ Schaffer, total invoice was 6600€).

All 4 tires are brand new (Michelin PilotSport 3)!

The rear silencers are in no good condition, so they will be replaced if the buyer wishes so – if he doesn’t, the price goes down by 4400 USD (they’re only available at Alpina)!

This car is extremely rare (97 produced ever), no maintenance missing, no open issues and it’s in very good condition.

If you’re thinking about an investment – think about how much sheer driving pleasure anything in a bank can offer!

Here’s data and options – the only option it really has is the sunroof because everything else was standard on B12 5.0 Coupés:

The price was in there from the start, but I reformatted the text to make it a bit more readable!
