02 530i hazards and interior lights coming on during startup

I have the same problem. Bringing his thread back to life. 2002 530i. Turn key hazards come on cabin lights stay on. Turn both off at respective switch. No other issues. Turn car off, get out, close door, cabin lights stay on. Turn off at switch or use remote to lock door. Just cleaned up all the connections in the pass floor fuse box….no change. All other lights work so thinking not lcm. If keynot turned cabin lights turn off as usual opening and closing all 4 doors. No issues that I can see with the trunk wiring. Read some one separated wiring loom on driver side under carpet. That’s next. Anyone have any on-site? Thanks in advance.

Bump - Anyone else have this issue. Changed out GM module and checked all the wiring under the driver seat area - no shorts that I can see. Next is change DME? Also changed out the lock button and hazard button. If I don't lock the car I don't have the problem....?
