As the title says, I have a 2006 325i with professional radio. The display on mine is going out and I'd like to replace it with a like unit. The professional radio seems to have gone through several revisions and sellers almost universally say that they won't guarantee that what they are selling will work in my car.
So...the question is, will any professional radio work? Will I have security issues?
Thanks.
Hi,
E46 ? or E9x variant?
Cheers, Dennis!
It's an E90.
Hi,
Look at Realoem.com and check the actual build date of your car. Filter the website for that your car model and then look at the part numbers for the display part. There might be a few and could be revision numbers. You then will need to look at various places, ebay, craigslist, forum classifieds or a BMW parts discounter or the BMW dealer and get a module with one of the part numbers you see listed on the website. It's a risk if you fit 'any' unit with a part number that isn't listed.
Cheers, Dennis!
Thanks. I did look it up on realoem and found several revisions listed, but was unsure of the listing, or more specifically, the annotations.
