Anyone Successfully Using the M52 IAC/ICV With Boost?

As it turns out, I am currently adding turbos to two engines, one an M52, and the other an M62, and they share the same IAC/ICV setup with the big grommety thing. It seems to me that there is a slim chance of that thing holding boost, but I wanted to ask on here before I jumped to conclusions.

    TIA!

Epoxy it into place or screw a hose barb fitting into the manifold.

Ah hell, I was figuring that's what I would hear since I just finished installing the intake haha...

As for an M52 question I haven't researched yet, can anyone tell me if there is a quick way to determine which fuel hose goes on which nipple? I don't think I've ever worked on a car before where they are the same size fittings if they are in the same location like these are..? Beginning searching and Bentlying now.

It doesn't really matter, they do the same thing at the end of the day. Most cars have the FPR on the rail which is why they matter.

Wow, bimmers never cease to amaze/confuse me!

I was just reading about the crazy extra valve they have in the fuel system... Looks like I'll need to replace the fuel system sooner rather than later, just so I can understand what is going on.

What exactly do you have going on there?

IIRC, I tapped the CCV hole with a 1/2 NPT and plugged it, so next time I have the intake out I will probably just run an appropriate NPT tap in there (1/2 I think), and put a barbed fitting in it. Same effect as that epoxy job I suppose, but I just prefer threads when I can have them.

Or is that an NPT threaded barb fitting with epoxy over it? If so, redundancy for the win I guess lol!

It's a threaded barbed fitting. Epoxy probably not needed but it works perfect.

You can trace the fuel hoses from the check valve.

Yeah, I ended up just running the hose from the filter to the rail. If isn't happy I'll switch them.
