Ambient outside air temp

Within the last month, I've replaced 3-sensors. The display works at times withn the correct temp. I've even replaced the connector, and soldered all. But it still is eratic in displaying the correct temp. Then yesterday I noticed, when I turned my paking lights/healights on, the dispaly went haywire again, and read -17 degrees. The times when it is working properly, it displays the correct temp, I never received the -40 or +122.

What could be cauing this issue?

Check all engine -grounds, make sure clean and tight.

Make sure the connections under the hood at the ground shoe are good.
That's the black plastic piece 9with all the brown wires going into it) that's bolted to the inner fender near the air filter box.

I'd investigate the cluster at this point? Intermittent crazy readings sometimes are cluster based. Best case could be just a connector on it. Worst case could be bad solder connection on the board (still imminently fixable however...).
