I have a 2006 M3 Competition Package. I want to lower it about an inch front and back.
My questions are.
What spring would be best fit for my wants?
I don't want to go too low, I plan have wider tires when these wear out. I don't want them rubbing.
Are regular M3 and Competition springs the same?
Finally I understand a lot of the purist will say leave the car alone..... I get it I really do. But it's my car and I want to make this amazing car better.
Lowering it is fine, just get some name brand springs and you should be ok. ( H&R, Eibach, FK, Vogtland, etc ) I will own an M3 soon , already found my E46 M3.
Go for Eibach springs. They lower the car about an inch to an inch and half. They are quality springs. I've heard the H&R's and others lower more like 2 inches.

Eibach spring/Koni-sport shock-strut combo would suit you, for a suspension system refresh.

H&R only produces one spring for the 2006 M3

Yep, it's an M3, sport springs would be the only ones applicable.
Here's a new offering from TireRack:https://www.tirerack.com/suspension/...6&autoModClar=
