Need help Replacing speakers

I own a 06 330i e90 n52. One of my speakers is blown their size is a whopping 4 inches. while looking around the BMW "professional" I spoke to said that I would have to use a special brand that Is Super expensive. So my main question is will 4 in say kicker or alpine speakers work or not. Thank.

I've never heard that a 'specific' brand is needed, but I could be wrong and other members should chime in. Kicker, Alpine, and my personal favorite; MB Quartz should all work depending on that size availability.

Hi,

You can either replace with an OEM part or upgrade all the speakers to better performing after market brand speakers which will direct fit and connect to the oem wiring.

The OEM part you can get from your local BMW dealer, or from an independent BMW parts retailer or from a car breakers yard and also look on ebay/craigslist and check all the BMW forums classifieds.

The upgraded specific car speaker kits sound much better than the oem speakers in the car currently, so look for packages from Focal, Gladen, MB Quart, Rockford Fosgate, MTX. Have a search for local dealers/installers.
