I have a spare AFM/Fuel distributor and WUR that came out of running car few months ago. For now (until I get to use them) I am storing these parts in my storage unit. The place is dry and insulated but humidity levels fluctuate,as it would happen in any unheated garage.
The question is- what would be best way to protect the fuel distributor and warmup regulator during storage? I am concerned about gunk build up and/or humidity damaging the internals.
Thanks,
Max
Ensure all fuel is drained out. Wrap in corrosion resistant paper, then enclose in a cardboard box, which will deter the fluctuating humidity levels, but prevent moisture from being trapped. https://www.uline.com/Product/Detail...w&gclsrc=aw.ds
I am glad I asked. Thank you!
Do something with the fuel dist piston/plunger too. Don't just let it sit in there, unless you want to baby sit it every few months. Wrap the piston/plunger in a separate roll and in it's bore too.
I'm not sure if WD 40 would be any help with that special paper

I guess I am going to pull out my extra fuel distributor and store it better. It's been sitting for about a year now though..
