EFR turbo fitment on SPA manifold

Hey guys, would an EFR7670 with the internal wastegate fit without issue on an SPA log manifold?

External wg I know will fit 100%. Internal may be too tight

EWG defeats the purpose for this build. If I can't use IWG, I'd rather get a Gen 2 6266

the internal wastegates dont work. Dont bother. Even without the IWG, its still a better turbo then any PTE by a long shot and worth using.

NM, doing my friend will be doing a top mount, twin scroll with EWG instead. Read the nightmares of trying to control the IWG, even with an upgraded 2 port Turbosmart actuator... no thanks

Do the spa, weld the WG port shut. I have a housing for 6266 with WG port built off of it you can buy.

This is what I was running before buying V2 steed. It was with my 6466. So 6266 would be direct replacement.

My friend wants to run the 7670 and has decided on a twinscroll manifold from Otis.

The EFR IWG is just fine. It even controls boost on 13B rotaries with 8374s down to pretty low boost. It's all in having a collector that doesn't take a sharp 90 right before the inlet.

If you need an EWG to bandaid for your poor collector design, don't blame the turbo design...

And CES found the IWG 8374 insufficient to control boost on single turbo conversion N54 motor BMWs when fitted with twinscroll manifolds.

I researched this issue when confronting boost control problems with EWG 8374 on my twinscroll manifold S52. I would have happily changed to an IWG if that alone would have worked. But the research I did suggested an IWG 8374 would not control boost on a twinscroll manifold S52.

If you are not trying to run low boost, you might not have any issues.

Bump, anyone in the know if an EFR8374 would work on a SPA?

EFR turbo fitment on SPA manifold

9180 fits, 8374 should...all depends on what housing is used

There is a boost logic manifold for sale for $500 I'm highly surprised its still there. That has fit a 366 iirc.

Seen it... not too hot about that manifold.. open collector, tubular that has already cracked/repaired... just not the best fit for someone who wants to road race their car IMO.

Well, for a tubular manifold, its probably one of the best on the market. It controls boost down to 1-2 psi. WG placement is great for fabrication compared to an spa. Sure open collector, but can't compare to a TS that is tough to find under 1k.
That said, that boost logic would be best Mani for 500

So a 9180 does fit on a spa T4? Neat, I wonder if an S366sxe would fit?

My boost logic has been amazing
Has like 40-50k miles on it, has amazing boost control , and my 366sxe is making 18# by 4k rpm without an EBC and on a base tune.

Can't find a better manifold for anywhere near that price.

Running a .88 T4 open housing from the sxe36x that shares the same turbine wheel as the 9180...very tight fit
