Calling any and all BMW folk in PGH... Moved here in January and have yet to see a single enthusiast-esque BMW. Granted, it's not that time of year yet but I'm starting to worry.
I'd like to learn more about local events, classifieds, etc. Is anyone out there??
There isn't much haha you'll see an enthusiast car here and there but most times just a slammed 3 series on white wheels or something.
good part of living here...ECS orders arrive real quick
Hello and welcome to Pittsburgh. I'm from the south of Pittsburgh in a little town called Elizabeth about 40 minutes from downtown. I've been searching for a BMW group from around this area as well but there seems to not be much. I'd be interested in a meet up if we can get enough people together.
It's funny cause PITT M3 RR said that about the 3 series around here, well I have a 325ic on KW coilovers and little bolt-ons. (budget constraints)
So yeah, I'd be in for a meet up.
My buddy lived in Elizabeth, that about 15 minutes from me over in whiteoak.
No way, I drive over in White Oak sometimes. Family friends live there. Small world.
It's strange that we haven't seen each other around at all.
Don't forget to come out to PVGP in July; we'll have several thousand BMWs there for the weekend.

I've thinking getting a little meet together. Would anybody be interested?
If I'm not working I could say what's up.
Sounds good, but do you know any other guys that would meet?
I'm kind of hoping to see if there was anybody in the area going to bimmerfest. Always wanted to go, but wasn't to keen on making the drive solo.
Missed this, I know very few guys around here. it's not like SE or west coast unfortunately.
years ago we had a pretty active group with monthly meets between 2004 - 2013. Scene changed and people grew up. Check western PA BMW facebook page.
Current: e24 - e28 - e34 - e36/8 - 993 - 914 - w124 - w210 - urs6 - P71 CV - t100
S does anyone have a preferred dyno? Wolfpack in south hills looks good at $100 for 3 runs, TPG is the same...thoughts?
im designing some headers for the S54 and want direct gains by style. I'm going to make 3 sets.

We're here. I'm actually trying to get some enthusiasts together to rent some shared garage space. So if any yinzers are interested in that, send me message.
I went to Wolfpack for a dyno power pull. His fan was crappy, and the runs were consecutive = heat soak. Over all happy I did it though. I think after I make some changes I'll visit TPG's dynojet next.
Where are you looking to rent at? I probably can't afford it but I'm curious as to where it's located.
And if you know of any local meets in making, let me know.
I'm ideally looking for a place near Pittsburgh city center or north of the city. I want to keep monthly cost under $200 a person with only a couple people. It might be hard to find a decent place in that price range though.
If you were looking in the South Hills I'd think about it, but ultimately I just can't put up the money for it and I'm about 40 min. south of the city so that's kinda far for me.
I ended up getting a second home with a 3 car garage in Plum. Its 37'X27'. I close mid October, but once it's all set up, we could have some garage days there. I have tons of tools, smoke, machine, tig / mig, stands and BMW specific stuff too.

Congrats on the new house and beautiful garage, the most important room in the house. Sad to see you leave White Oak though. Some beers and cars on a weekend is always a good thing in my opinion.
Thanks man, its not too far from my garage now, about 20 min if that. When I get set up, ill let you guys know.
Also modified a local guys 335 exhaust today. Few pics for fun. Came out well.
How'd the closing go for the house go PIT M3? Hopefully nothing too stressful.
It’s all good, cars are in and most of my tools. I still have prob 2 truckloads to get here. Anyone have anything they need done?
Nothing right now. My car is currently at McB Autosport getting a manual swap, so it'll probably be there till January. I'm probably going to get headers in the spring and maybe a muffler delete, so that'll be a good weekend. Hopefully I don't regret sinking some money into this thing with the whole lack of power issue. I was thinking of getting an e46 330ci to turn into a little project. I don't know, maybe a year or so I'll get one.
Anyway, good to hear that you're all set up.
Damn nice mods coming up. Soak those header studs in acetone and atf a few days before. No joke.
I can do your muffler here, I have some decent stuff
Yeah I read your s54 build thread and started to think that maybe I should take it to a shop after hearing about your old engine haha. But yeah in the spring maybe I'll bring her up to do the delete. I want to take the muffler off first and drive a lap to see if I enjoy the sound of it. I currently have a Remus sport catback on there now and the sound is pretty good, but I don't like the fitment. I actually would like to get a uuc muffler or something equivalent but I could use the money elsewhere.
I'm really just using the muffler delete as an excuse to get a closer look at that S54 hellrot haha, but yeah I look forward to this spring.
