Bracket on cylinder head won't fit! Help!

Purchased a rebuilt cylinder head and the bracket wasn't on it. Tried to put it on and won't fit flush with the head, how should I install it? 601542_x800.jpg

The bracket fits all m20 e30's there is a pretty good video of this head Assy search removing camshaft m20 BMW in the video he is assembling the head after the rockers and shafts are in installed he is tapping that bracket in

it might stick a mm above the casting but as long as the shaft are locked in the correct orientation (leg sit into the slot and shaft oreinted to allow rocker retainers and oil flow to rocker) and the lock wings are touching ontop of the shaft (fully seated in the vertical direction) and the valve cover doesnt touch (with gasket of course) you are good to go
