m50b25 boosted, good/best parts for internals?

    Hello,
I am thinking of building a new project. Twin turbocharged m50b25, so, what I want to know.

What is a good forged piston dealer? CR 8.5 - 9.5
    Good forged rods?
    Gasket?
Why we need studs? Are ARP good enough?
Main bearings? Do they come with aftermarket rods or oem can be used?
Dealers from Europe would save some tax.

Why twins? I would think the fab for twins would be way more intricate. Either way good luck

    Pistons: Weisco, JE, CP
    Rods: Eagle, K1, Carrilo, Pauter
    Cutring gasket
ARP to hold the head down with the added power.
    Glyco or OEM?

I am sure I am missing a few still

Twins for low and high rpm spool. "Fab for twins", what do You mean by that? Fabrication? If so, yes, nice and serious welding job would be the answer for that

Take that money for twins and put an s52 in with a 62-64mm turbo. You will be better off than any combo of turbos and a 2.5L

A high quality single turbo will out spool 2 smaller cheaper turbo's.

Wossner pistons is in germany and they have designs for m50's and m52's. Stock rods from an M50 or M50 non vanos will hold alot of power. I make around 800 whp on a 2.8 with stock non vanos m50 rods. They are a much better design than the M52/S52 rods. Real Street Performance has awesome deals on wiseco pistons as well. Oem bearings are fine. If the old ones do not have any wear just reuse them. They don't have an expiration date.

The only european dealers I know about are PPF in sweden and Kimmet Sport Racing in Norway, though I'm sure there are lots more with bmw parts.

What is the difference in between m50nv and m50 vanos rod sizes? As I have heard that NV have 135mm and vanos has 140mm, am I right? So, crankshaft differs ar well?
If I use b28 crankshaft with m50NV rods, I could use new main bearing and is there any crank restoration process?

You are correct on the rod length. The m50 crankshafts are the same. All the bearings are the same in m50 and m52. F No need to do anything to the crank unless it is scored. No issue with mixing up the crankshaft and bearings. There are all identical. My motor has used bearings taken from 3 different motors in it. If it makes you feel better get a new set.
