    2003 BMW 525i

    trans problem

    having a problem with my 03 e39 525i. goes in reverse just fine but when in drive or s mode will not rev past 2000 but will move slowly also no lights there is a trans message but can't read due to pixels are messed up. just got car a couple of weeks ago no indication of any problems car shifted smoothly no problems until this morning please help

    Well the first step will be to get the EGS computer read. The next step will be to fix the pixel problem.

    just got the car a couple of weeks ago plan on fixing what it needs but just gotta order the parts. i am pretty sure it has to do with the traction control cause i unhooked the battery for awhile and it started to work fine than the traction control light and abs light flashed and started doing the same thing

    ok update got my scan tool from work it is a snap-on modis. i got a trans code 59 stall speed and an engine code 103 for vanos/ intake camshaft position any info on these codes would be helpfull and if anyone knows if they are related or not. everything i find on the codes says it it a problem with the output speed sensor and a cam shaft position sensor but if there is anything else anyone can tell me i would greatly appreciate it thanks
