Thermostat Stuck in the Block?

Hey guys, I think my thermostat is jammed in the block, probably from corrosion. I can't seem to find where the block begins and the thermostat ends though. I'll attach pics, but the thermostat is starting to break (the little handle, and the inner circle is starting to break). I'll attach pics. Thanks guys.

Put the bolt back in about halfway, and use it as a fulcrum by placing a screwdriver in the thermostat opening, and prying up.
