    E28 Speedometer Face Size

Hey guys. Coming over from the e21 section. I am currently searching for the cleanest way to put an electric speedometer into my e21 gauge cluster do to having an e30 m20 turbo swap and medium case diff swap. I was curious on what size diameter the e28 speedometer is? The e30 gauges are smaller than the e21 which doesn't look right to me. So, I am hoping that the e28 gauge is the correct size I need. If someone could measure the diameter of their speedometer for me that would be awesome. Thanks!

Hi there did you ever get any feedback on this? I'm in a similar situation and need to convert my Speedo to electronic.

The face of the speedo is right at 108mm.

The aperture size is between 104 and 105mm. I couldn't get a great measurement because of the interference while rotating the caliper.

Obviously, the inside lip of the aperture rides on the top surface of the edge of the speedometer face.

    Hope this helps.
