So I noticed real light vibration a long time ago and it's gotten worse and consistent. I changed the spark plugs and coils and assumed that would correct the problem but it didn't. I pulled the plugs and noticed 2 plugs didn't have an even tarnished tone like the others. So I added a fuel system cleaner without success.
Spark plugs
6 ignition coils
Intake and exhaust solenoid
Vanos
Flex plate
Center bearing
Both drive axels
Wheel bearings x4
No service engine light
Happens only when the car is warmed up
Rpms vibrate shutter with acceleration
On the freeway the car feels like it wobbles back and forth
Recently I threw in the towel and took it to the shop where they recreated the problem in every gear and said Torque Converter 4800
It's a GM transmission so any ideas would be greatly appreciated
That is a mystery, so far, but we need a little more info, please provide:
- Engine mileage
- Accident history
- Last 7 digits of VIN#
- Results of any scan tool
I noticed that you make no mention of any diagnostic scan being performed, thought maybe you forgot to mention it.
If no diagnostic scan has ever been performed, or a simple generic scan tool was used, with no results, then it's time-
For a proper diagnostic scan, with a BMW specific scan tool/BMW Software, which can communicate with all BMW computers,
installed, and residing in the vehicle. This is something no generic scan tool can perform. This is a recommended first step in attempting diagnosis, and may have saved you some time and money. The BMW codes displayed can indicate the path to take for a successful repair.
