    I'm missing a part for my e61 liftgate, aren't I? (picture)

I was trying to get the liftgate on my 2006 e61 (07/2005 build date) to work today (it never has, i've owned the car for 10 months now) by refilling the reservoir and was trying to figure out why I couldn't get the pump to turn on. I tested every single fuse in the rear fusebox and they all work fine.

I'm now pretty sure i'm missing part #51247163662, Hydraulic cylinder (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...19#51247163662). My pump DOES have the red and blue hoses that attach to the cylinder connected to it, but I'm guessing they've been cut up inside the body. :-(

Can someone confirm that something is supposed to go there?

You are correct, part on 2 nd picture should be installed instead of normal gas strut

Thanks. Prices are getting so crazy on these cars!

Do you know where the connector for the hydraulic cylinder goes off the top of your head?

If second hand is ok try german ebay or polish allegro. I got second hand complete tailgate set for about 200 £

I'm not entirely sure yet. It looks like i'll at least need the hydraulic cylinder, but the pump may be shot, too. I'll probably have to drop the headliner to figure it out.

Hoses coming off the hydraulic cylinder, then going under headliner , alongside D pillar straight to the pump. There is also a sensor fitted on hydraulic cylinder conected to the module in boot.
