Here's mine with new covering of headliner, ABC pillars, and package shelf. Also recovered door card inserts.

I did all the prep work, but got a pro to cut and attach the Alcantara. At $120/yard I did not want to learn the finer points of interior restoration! All in, it was about $1,300.

That looks really good. I need to do something to mine but I think I will try it myself since I will be doing Parchment.

Installed 95 handbrake and nicer/cleaner boot.

Pardon the horrible iphone pic. Swapped out the regular dove grey interior, now has extended leather. Changed wood to graphite bird's eye maple, found the BMW Individual chrome handles. Swapped ebay M-logo ebrake for the stock leather one. Also have a BMW Traffic Pro about to go in, but my car is in storage while I'm overseas.... I miss it.

I dig it. Also, I think E32 chrome handles fit like the individual ones.

I hear they fit, but they're a different shape for the front so that handle is a little shorter and stubbier.

@sugaki: Nice work. You'll love the Traffic Pro. I have the BMW labeled version that lights up BMW when turning on. Get the antenna and the map CD to activate the GPS. It works, albeit without updates in the US since 2004. Just having the compass directional arrow is enough to keep me entertained!

I have it partially installed, still need the GPS antenna, have no idea where to get the map CD though. The big downside is the previous owner swapped out the stock sound system (amp and all) for aftermarket, and it doesn't sound as good. When I had Becker Traffic Pro I loved the sound though.

The TP is even better than the CD43 for sound production. Contact Becker Autosound in Saddle Brook, New Jersey for the CD and antennae. They also sell a cable to use devices like iPod with the AUX setting on the TP (either Bluetooth or direct connect). Becker Autosound is high priced, but they have what you need.

Now that is two-tone done right! How'd you do the carpets?

And that is chrome done right. I didn't know there were metal E34-fitment front handles, so I used E32 ones:

The tan weatherstripping and a few other things have been fixed since. Alas it too is being used as storage for its own parts (two seats, bumper, rad support and grill) and a bunch of wine, mostly.

It makes me really happy to see people taking care of these cars' interiors. Keep them alive, folks! E34 interior is a brilliant blend of elegant looks, elegant feel, elegant function, and inelegant idiocy here and there if we're honest (rear facevent that only blows cold)... but overall it's in some ways my single favorite car interior. The front seats are the most comfortable I've ever sat in from any car, of any age, at any price point, and they look good and smell good. Seats + highway ride + reasonable noise + real armrests + decent stock audio + small table around the shifter and another above the glovebox + limo tint = one awesome roadtrip car.

That took me the longest to figure out since I never sit in the back.

Is that seriously WAD?! I figured it was just a broken flap or something. Though both of mine have done it

RIT Dye in a spray bottle and rubbed it in with a stiff bristle dish brush. Then had it baked in the sun. Initially it was very stiff but after is was dry enough, I vacuumed it with one of those pet hair attachments that has the roller and that softened it back up.

^ Any stain problems, like bringing it into the house with your shoes, especially in rain?

What did you do to your center panel? I'm having trouble finding a good wood piece that will fit the panel with the ASC cutout.
