Hi,
I have a 2009 BMW 328xi with adaptive xenon headlights. The passenger side is drooping and the service man said it would be necessary to replace the entire unit ($1900). I pointed out that it would not make logical sense to replace the unit with the same type as then it would fail just like the current one. He then stated that the new unit is different, basically admitting that there was a design flaw in the original unit and thus that bmw wanted the customer to pay for their mistake.
Is it possible to convert the headlights to be non-adaptive because these units are mush cheaper? Thanks for any help
Jerry
If a standard halogen unit was an option for a 2009 328,maybe that could be substituted in place of Adaptive lighting.
