Haha you guys are great! Yes, either one of your cars are dream stable mates to my current collection! I know the Avus is still for sale too, so I hope I can fit enough $100's in the back of my lowly 328iT to get both! Damn, I should have bought that M5 powered Elekta, I'm sure I could have stuffed a few extra thousand in its 5 series boot!
On a more reality based note, I've cleared the trip with the tower! So I'll see you guys there, cameras in hand! Don't know if my wife will join me on this trip though; it'd probably be best if she didn't see me in such a state of pathetic auto-envy! I am however trying to rope in a couple of fellow 8' enthusiasts for this epic road trip- I'm gonna need ferry drivers afterall!

We are at 17 now. Last week I made arrangements with the Bimmerfest organizer for corral parking. We will be assigned our own area so that we can line up. Last year we rolled in with 26 cars. I am hoping this year wiill be as good or better. We will be meeting up before the event at Starbucks. I will post up the information 2 weeks before.

Here is the Meet & Greet location for Bimmerfest. We will meet at Starbucks 1041 Milliken Ave Ontario, CA. The location is 60 miles from LAX. Please plan to there at 7:15 AM. We will roll out at 7:45 AM. We need to be inside by 8:00 AM.

Hi guys! Sorry I didn't get to socialize with you guys very much; I figured you'all would be there both days, and until 4pm! LOL I guess not in that ridiculous heat! I really wanted to meet Major Cheese and his Oxford CSi! But it was nice to finally meet Mark, the Avus, and the car's previous owner, John Burgan!
I tried to make plans to come out to Huntington Beach for the 'second showing' but the timing wasn't going to allow for it, and still get home to Tucson at a decent hour.
There are two additional E31's that showed up on Sunday, a '96-'97 850Ci and a trick white 840Ci with a S85 V10 swap with manual transmission! I didn't see the owner, but a nice kid was telling us all about it. Pics of these two cars are included below.
