    tx JP,

Well, I have the breaker bar and a regular socket, not impact. I have the dampener holding tool and the water pump here by Thursday. Oh yeah, a new bolt as well. So hopefully Thursday will be the big day. If I break the socket I will have to go hunting for a better one.

The V8 engines use a much higher torque than the V12s - IIRC 440Nm rather than 100Nm + 60 + 60degrees, so you would need that kind of leverage.

XBOSS its not how thick the breaker is, but how much leverage you can apply. 20" is half as long as needed, so will require twice the force... Good luck with the hernia

I ended up using a 3/4 drive breaker bar with a 1/2 adapter to a 1/2 drive 27mm socket. I know it is a lame setup but locally there are limits, seems like all the stores these days move the low selling item,s to online ship only.

Anyway, the bolt is loose and I did not even use an extender bar. Off the top of my head it felt like around 350 ft lbs.

Back on the road. Job notes:

Bolt was not too hard to pop loose. Maybe 350 ft lbs max

I used a mold release spray on all the hoses and gaskets so everything slid into place which is real important for the back two pipes off the water pump and the water pump gasket it'self which is an outer edge compression style and not the usual gasket water pumps have.

The belt tensioners were a joy to deal with. Very easy to remove everything and very easy to set the belts back up.

When you go to pull the dampener off of the crank be ready for it to fall off because it goes from super tight to in your hands in a snap and it will fall off the crank after a very short sliding distance forward.

    Easy job overall.

Sorry Xboss. Late to the party. Glad to hear you got it done without a problem.

I had to do mine last year. Not too much of a pain like you said.

The V8 doesn't need the Jesus bolt to come off, so automatically easier.
